James “Jim” Guy Bergamaschi

Nov. 20, 1929 – Oct. 20, 2020

Born in Phillipsburg, Montana, Jim was a graduate of Butte High School in Montana where he was active in baseball and football. After graduating, he joined the Marine Corps where he became a tank instructor.

In the late 1960s Jim attended the Moral Barber College and he served as a barber for over 40 years.

Jim thought Ceres was the greatest little city ever. He was president of the Ceres Chamber of Commerce in 1971 and belonged to other organizations in Ceres throughout the years. Jim enjoyed traveling, western art, antiques and cars. He was always referred to as “Uncle Jim” in his family; he had two sisters and brothers-in-law as well as many nieces and nephews. Jim and Colleen have a goddaughter and her family which they both treasured.

Jim always enjoyed entertaining family and friends in their home. Jim was well-known for his laughter, kind heart, smile and the happiness he always wanted to share with everyone he met.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Colleen; and was preceded in death by parents Berto and Mary Bergamaschi.

Rest in peace, Jim.
