A memorial will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 10 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses for Jesse Leon Cooper, 70, of Ceres. He died Friday, June 25, 2004 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock.
The Neptune Society of Fresno was in charge of arrangements.
Born Jan. 19, 1934, Mr. Cooper was a native of Hill, N.M., and had lived in Ceres and Stanislaus County since 1944. He was a retired beautician. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, and enjoyed repairing and restoring cars.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Cooper of Ceres; four children, Theresa Vires and Rita Weiss, both of Sonora, Daniel Cooper of Modesto and Malinda Boersma of Tennessee; two stepchildren, Deborah Alger of Louisiana and Forrest Shannon of Texas; his brother, Wilburn "Bill" Cooper of Arizona; and 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson.
