A funeral service was held Monday at Lakewood Funeral Home for Leona Burns Jenson, 90, of Turlock. She died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004 at her home.
Burial was at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Born Nov. 1, 1913, Mrs. Jenson was a native of Pittsburg County, Okla., and lived in Turlock for nine years and previously lived in Ceres for 21 years. She was a production worker at John Ingalls Foods for 17 years. Mrs. Jenson was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church, Teamsters union Local 748 and the Old Time Fiddlers.
She leaves behind four children, Euel Jenson of Oklahoma, Clint Jenson of Waterford, Lee Davenport of Ceres and Carolyn Cozart of Turlock; and 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin Thomas Jenson; and children Kenneth Jenson, Lance Jenson, A.J. Jenson, Billy Earl Jenson and Barbara "Bobbie" Sargent.
