Services will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Neptune Society, 711 5th St., Modesto, for Linda Sue Underwood, 69, of Ceres. She passed away peacefully at John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek on Nov 20, 2018 surrounded by her family.

Born as Linda Sue Belcher on Oct 10, 1949 in Bakersfield, she moved with her family as a young child to Modesto. She had resided in Ceres for over 60 years. Linda enjoyed being an upholstery seamstress for Alberto’s Sofa Factory. Linda was known for her willingness to help others and her capability of loving many people. She enjoyed the smaller things in life, such as unplanned trips to Black Oak Casino, going out for steak and lobster, spending time with all of her family whether at home or on a trip. She also loved home and garden projects, sewing, crafts and trying new recipes. Her helpful spirit and infectious laugh will forever be missed. She was loved by many because she loved many more.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Fred Underwood of Ceres; son Todd Underwood; daughter Dana Mahu; sister Margaret Ramsay; her three granddaughters, Payton, Bianca, Annika; two boys she considered grandsons, Clay-Austyn and Dustyn-Josef; and great granddaughter McKinley.
