Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the Ceres Chapel of Franklin and Downs for Marie Ellen Blakely, 80, of Ceres. She died Oct. 11, 2008.
A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel. Burial will take place after the service at Park View Mausoleum in French Camp.
Born Jan. 26, 1920, Marie was active in the community for nearly 70 years. She was also a homemaker.
She leaves behind her two sons, Mickey Blakely and Terry Blakely; and five grandchildren, Jennifer, Brad, Sean, Liane and Kate. She was preceded in death by parents George and Ellen Lauer and husband Harold.
Remembrances may be sent in Marie's name to the Arthritis Foundation, 3040 Explorer Dr. Suite #1, Sacramento, CA 95827.
