A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. today at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella for Mary Christine Morgan Holtham Barao, 78, of Ceres. She died May 6, 2012 at the Alexander Cohen Hospice in Hughson with family by her side.
Evans Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born Jan. 21, 1934 in Hugo, Okla., to Pierce and Pearl Morgan, Mary was a long time resident of Ceres. She graduated from Thomas Downey High School in Modesto. Mrs. Barao worked for Campbell Soup.
She leaves behind three children, Glen Holtham, Cheryl Holtham and Chris Holtham; two sisters, Ellen Welch of Modesto and Ethel Robinson of Venice; and five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband "Sonny" Barao, her parents and five brothers.
