Allen Mortuary of Turlock was in charge of arrangements for Mary Rachel Caperton, 73, of Keyes. She died June 27, 2011 at her home.
Born August 1937 in Oklahoma, Mary came to Bakersfield at the age of 4. She lived in the Tulare and Visalia area before settling in Keyes 45 years ago. She worked for Del Monte Foods and then Tri-Valley Growers. Mrs. Caperton enjoyed ringing the bell for the Salvation Army, attending the churches in Keyes, and working with elderly people at the convalescent hospitals.
She leaves behind husband Kenneth Caperton, and son Kenneth Davis Caperton.
