Private services were held for Michail G Gilbert, 65, of Ceres. He died of cancer on Jan. 8, 2010.
Mr. Gilbert was born July 28,1944. He lived most of his life in Ceres and graduated from Ceres High School. After he joined the military in 1961, Michail became a truck driver. He retired from Sweeley Mobile in Modesto in 1994. Mr. Gilbert loved to golf and was a member of the River Oaks Golf Course.
He leaves behind his wife, Peggy Gilbert of Ceres; his children, Michelle Ricklick and Trevis Gilbert both of Modesto, and Jimmie Roark and Michael Howard both of Arkansas and Kenneth Chance of Ione; his father, Gale Gilbert of Modesto; his brothers, Ronald Gilbert and James Gilbert, both of Modesto, Bill Gilbert of Texas and Daniel of San Diego; and 12 grandchildren.
