Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Ceres Christian Church, 3502 Roeding Road in Ceres, for Pamela Gail Broyles. She died peacefully at her home, Nov. 9, 2008, of complications from cancer.
Mrs. Broyles was born Feb. 20, 1948 in Oakdale and was a 1966 graduate of Oakdale High School. She lived in the Ceres area, off and on, for approximately 30 years. Mrs. Broyles worked as a clerk for various Hallmark stores for 20 years and recently for Beardsley's Book and Bible in McHenry Village in Modesto. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, traveling, and playing video games.
She leaves behind her husband, Pastor Dave Broyles of Ceres Christian Church in Ceres; two children, Christyl Mayer of Chandler, Ariz., and Rebecca Broyles of Los Angeles; and her grandson, Jacob Mayer of Chandler, Ariz. She was preceded in death by sister Phyllis Beckham and parents Jesse and Mildred Crump.
