A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Friday at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella for Rita Mae Beavers Peart, 79, of Ceres. She died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004 at Doctors Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Eaton Family Funeral Home in Modesto.
Born July 23, 1925, Mrs. Peart was a native of Alexandra, La., and had lived in Ceres for 32 years. She worked as a nurse's assistant for 10 years. Mrs. Peart was a member of Ceres Christian Church. She enjoyed bargain shopping, crafts, cooking and sewing.
Mrs. Peart leaves behind five children, Bill Peart of Escondido, Glen Peart and Roy Peart, both of Ceres, Georgia Smith of Declo, Idaho, and Ronda Gipson of Fordland, Mo.; her brother, J.C. Beavers of West Monroe, La.; and 40 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Peart, and son Travis Peart.
