A graveside service was held Saturday at Lakewood Memorial Park for Roger Lynn Bailey, 41, of Reno. He died Dec. 2, 2007 as the result of a work-related accident.

Franklin & Downs was in charge of arrangements.

Born Oct. 17, 1966, Mr. Bailey was a resident of Stanislaus County for 38 years. He worked with his father and brother in their family business in Modesto as an air conditioning service technician. In 2006, he moved from Modesto to Reno to care for his father and pursue a career as a truck driver. Mr. Bailey was a devout Christian and enjoyed reading the Bible. He collected clothes on his trucking route and gave them to the poor at the Gospel Mission, and the homeless on the street.

He leaves behind five children, Robert Bailey of Reno, Nev., and Travis Bailey, Kevin Bailey, Tina Bailey and Dessie Bailey, all of Oklahoma; his father, Junior (Lee) Bailey of Reno; his sister, Sandra Reeves of Ceres; his brother, Mitchell Bailey of Modesto, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nettie Bailey of Modesto.
