Private services were held for Roy Charles Barnett, 65, of Modesto. He died Dec. 27, 2011.
Born Sept. 18, 1946 in Tulare, Roy lived most of his life in Hughson and Modesto. He was a carpenter and enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
He leaves behind his wife, Carmelita Barnett; his children, Major John S Barnett, of Fort Bragg, N.C. and Shirley Gunzenhauser of Ceres; two brothers, Kendle Barnett of San Pablo and John Barnett of Modesto; two sisters, Wanda Shockley of Modesto, and Jeanette Deckard of Ballico, and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
