Private services were held for Sarah Elizabeth Ashley Smith, 67, of Hughson. She died Monday, Sept. 12, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.
Burial was at Turlock Memorial Park under the direction of Allen Mortuary.
Born Feb. 17, 1938, Mrs. Smith was a native of Clark County, Ark., and had lived in Hughson and Modesto for 15 years. She was a hotel manager for 20 years.
Mrs. Smith leaves behind two children, Cindy Gaston and Herb Gaston, both of Hot Springs, Ark.; and two sisters, Margaret Carter of Bloomfield, N.M., and Billie Sue Simones of San Antonio. She was preceded in death by one sister.
