Servando P. Rodriguez

A Mass was held Monday at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Ceres for Servando P. Rodriguez, 65, of Modesto. He died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004 at Memorial Medical Center.

Burial was at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel.

Born Feb. 6, 1939, Mr. Rodriguez was a native of Nuevo, Leon, Mexico, and had lived in South Modesto since 1983. He was a farmer and owned Mi Ranchito Bar in Modesto for 10 years. He also worked on the production line at Stanislaus Foods for eight years. Mr. Rodriguez was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Ceres.

He leaves behind his wife, Teresa Rodriguez of Modesto; eight children, Genaro Rodriguez of Los Banos, Laura Barajas of Ceres, Elida Rodriguez of Hughson, Julie Mata of Greenfield, Ricky Rodriguez of Livingston, and Teresa Rodriguez, Servando Rodriguez Jr., and Jose Anthony Rodriguez, all of Modesto; his mother, Cristela Rodriguez of Raisin City; four brothers, Rogelio Rodriguez of Texas, and Eliseo Rodriguez, Israel Rodriguez and Alfonso Rodriguez, all of Arizona; two sisters, Sofia Rodriguez of Raisin City and Alia Elizonda of Prunedale; and 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
