Thelma L. Dunlap

A graveside service was held Tuesday at Acacia Memorial Park in Modesto for Thelma Louise Rickard Dunlap, 86, of Riverbank. The former Ceres resident died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2005 in Potlatch, Idaho.

The Colonial Chapel of Franklin & Downs was in charge of arrangements.

Born March 30, 1919, Mrs. Dunlap was a native of Pekin, Ind., and lived in Riverbank for five years, and previously in Jamestown for 16 years and in Greeley Hill. Mrs. Dunlap was a sales clerk for Farrs Dress Shop. She also worked as a teacher's aide and in the cafeteria at Downey High School. Mrs. Dunlap graduated from Ceres High School in 1938. She enjoyed gardening, reading, fishing, traveling and collecting antiques.

Mrs. Dunlap leaves behind her husband, Lee Dunlap of Groveland; four children, Janice L. Cooper and Dee Joulian, both of Modesto, Sandra K. Everett of Potlatch and James C. Williams of Cazadero; and 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Shirley Ann Markle, six brothers and a sister.
