Services are being taken care of by the McHenry Chapel of Franklin & Downs for Wanda Lou Holly, 84. She died Dec. 9, 2018.

There is no visitation however a graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at Burwood Cemetery, 28320 River Road, Escalon.

Born June 12, 1934 in Oklahoma, Wanda was one of 12 children of Roy and Lydia Spurlock. She enjoyed belonging to a large family and loved spending time with all of them, especially her sisters.

She was a long time resident of Modesto and Ceres. She married Floyd Dee Holly Jr. in 1954, a marriage that lasted 55 years. They had three children, Kim, Floyd III, and Tony. Wanda was a housewife and worked at several food processing plants in the area. She enjoyed cooking, especially her chili beans which family considered the best ever, gardening, making quilts (which will keep family members warm for many years), going to casinos and visiting family.

She leaves behind her children, Kim (Bill) Tanner, Floyd Dee Holly III and Tony (Robin) Holly; two sisters, Betty Savage and Linda Jones; two brothers, Terry and Larry Spurlock; seven grandchildren, Manon, Nichelle, Courtney, Ethan, Christopher, Dane, Kara; and six beautiful great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents Roy and Lydia Spurlock, brothers Bob Spurlock, Bill Spurlock, Jay Spurlock and Jerry Spurlock, sisters Inez Journey and Dellene Victorine, and husband Floyd Dee Holly Jr.

Her children would like to thank Linda Jones, Bethel Assisted Living, and Community Hospice for the special love and care that was given their mother.

She was loved and will be missed.
