Return dead husband's stolen Purple Heart licence

Editor, Ceres Courier,

I would like to address this to the person who stole the Purple Heart license plates from my deceased husband's truck.

His name was Salvador Vargas and he was a Vietnam War veteran who earned his Purple Heart medal and the right to display this medal anyway he wished. He earned this right by spilling his blood for this country. You, thief, have not earned this right and the question I have for you is: What would possess you to steal something as precious as this? Do you really think you are going to be able to use them?

You have no idea of the hurt and heartache you have caused and I truly wish you would return them. Take them back to where you stole them from.

If they are not returned within a week, you better hope I don't see the plates on the streets before the police do.

Do the right thing and return them.

Cynthia Vargas,

Ceres
