Brick sales hit $37,000 - thanks!

Editor, Ceres Courier,

The Ceres Community Center commemorative brick fund-raising program has officially ended with a total of 216 bricks sold and gross revenue of exactly $37,000.

On behalf of the Ceres Recreation Department, I want to thank the City Council members, city manager, department heads, other city employees, businesses, service clubs and other non-profit organizations who supported our new Community Center. I also want to thank the Recreation Department staff - Cambria, Traci, Cara and Amanda - for your effective sales techniques and efforts.

Within the next 12 weeks the bricks will be installed in the pathway between the new sidewalk on Third Street and the West entrance to the Center. These bricks will be seen and admired by the public for decades to come.

Doug Lemcke,

Director,

Parks & Recreation Department
