Cops cannot fear all the time
a-letter-envelope-5

Editor, Ceres Courier,

I was linked to an article you wrote it about a gentleman who ran from a police officer and was gunned down after dropping something.

Assuming the man was scared of going back to prison, I see why he ran. But for you to justify his death by stating that it would not have happened if he was doing the right thing is beside the point. It does not give the police the right to take someone's life, especially when they are running a way. Not all cops are fit for duty if they are in constant fear for their lives, especially if a subject is running away from them.
