Fifth Street crosswalk needed
a-letter-envelope-5

Editor, Ceres Courier,

I graduated Ceres High School last year and drove down Fifth Street everyday. I can say from firsthand experience a lot of students walk across that street with no safety. It's dangerous and can cause a young kid to get seriously hurt.

The sign that has recently been put on the street is a great start.

Gary Condit and I are former golf teammates. When he told me he was bring this to the city's attention I immediately jumped on board; it makes sense to make a safe zone for students to cross. I attended the council meeting where Gary spoke on the issue. I found it to be rather informative to those that don't know the issue exists.

I am interested to see what comes of this issue. I hope for the safety of the children a crosswalk is put up.

James Cervantez,
Ceres
