Nearly 3 in 10 of nation’s homeless live in California
Letters

Editor, Ceres Courier,

For decades, Democratic politicians have been attracting illegal immigrants to California by extending to them an ever-expanding list of government benefits and protections, knowing that most illegal aliens can be counted on to raise their American-born children to vote Democratic.

It is no surprise that California – which has 12 percent of the nation’s population – now has 20 percent of the nation’s unauthorized migrant population. But illegal immigrants don’t bring housing with them. They need to use American housing. And now, lo and behold, California has about 30 percent of the nation’s homeless population.

These statistics are enough to make one wonder whether the Democratic politicians’ strategy to flood California with illegal immigrants is one of the causes of the affordable housing shortage/homelessness crisis.
