Small price to pay for safety
a-letter-envelope-5

Editor, Ceres Courier,

I strongly support the efforts of the Ceres High School students who are trying to establish a crosswalk on Fifth street. As a third year student of CHS, I, along with my fellow classmates, understand the importance of installing this crosswalk as it will greatly improve student safety. According to pedbikeinfo.org creating a crosswalk with proper lighting will cost a maximum of $40,000 and with the city spending $3.9 million dollars to renovate downtown, this couple thousand is a small price to pay for student safety.

Please encourage your City Council representative to make Fifth Street safer for your children.

Krishan Malhotra,
Ceres
