Take all bullying seriously
a-letter-envelope-5

Editor, Ceres Courier,

Bullying is something that should in be taken seriously.

When children go home and complain about mean kids, their parents just tell them to get over it and ignore those kids. But can they really ignore it?

What parents need to realize, is that bullying is not just something that can be ignored. Schools also need to realize and grasp that a five-day suspension will not work for the bully. What will happen when that kid comes back and keeps bullying other kids? We don't know for sure if they will stop picking on kids and I think we need to enforce the punishments being made on these bullies a little more. The reason why is because bullying can leave long-term effects on the victim both physically, and mentally. How can a suspension make up for the harm they caused to the victim?
