Ceres claims four individual high-point trophies

Ceres Dolphin recreational swim club members Zachary Jones, Julia Pata, Emma Silveria and Ciana Sather brought home overall High-Point trophies from the Tracy Invitational, staged May 24-25, at West High School.

"That's pretty much what I expected," head coach Tracy Bull said. "We had some strong showings."

Jones, who hasn't lost a race in league in two years, swept the 50 free, 100 free, 100 breast, 100 back and 100 fly on his way to totaling 45 points in the 17-18 boys.

Pata (15-16 girls) racked up 54 points.

Julia placed first in the 100 IM, 100 free, 50 free, 50 fly and 50 back, and second in the 50 breast.

She set a meet record in the 100 free.

"She was the queen of the pool," Bull said.

Silveria (9-10 girls) earned 46 points.

She placed first in the 50 fly and 100 IM, second in the 50 free, 100 free and 100 breast, and third in the 100 back.

Sather (13-14 girls) tallied 40 points.

She placed first in the 50 fly and 100 IM, second in the 50 back and 100 free, fourth in the 50 free, and sixth in the 50 breast.

Victoria Silveria (9-10 girls), Reuven Denton (15-16 boys) and Alyvea Olanolan (11-12 girls) finished second overall in the respective age groups.

Silveria took first in the 50 breast, 50 free and 100 free, second in the 50 fly and 100 IM, and fourth in the 50 back.

Denton took first in the 100 free, second in the 100 fly and 50 free, third in the 100 IM and 100 breast, and fifth in the 100 back.

Olanolan took first in the 100 free, second in the 100 IM, third in the 50 free, fourth in the 50 back and fifth in the 50 fly.

Brett Hartley (9-10 boys) took first in the 50 breast, seventh in the 50 free and eighth in the 100 free.

Nicholas Campbell (7-8 boys) took second in the 50 free and 25 back.

Evan Lumpkin (9-10 boys) placed second in the 100 free.

Zhaira Brar (6&under girls) took second in the 25 free.

Zachary Esparza (6&under boys) took second in the 25 back and 25 free, and third in the 50 free.

Abigail Gonzales (7-8 girls) took third in the 25 back.

Kaydence Bispo (7-8 girls) placed third in the 25 IM and 25 free, and fourth in the 25 breast.

Bianca Najera (7-8 girls) took third in the 50 free and fourth in the 25 fly.

Diego Armas (9-10 boys) took fourth in the 50 free and 100 free, and fifth in the 50 back and 50 fly.

"I'm pretty happy with our performance," Bull said. "We swam incredibly well."
