Ceres High School held its youth football camp, July 5-8 at Bulldog Stadium.

Ilan Espinoza, Christian Oliver and Conner Johnson were among the seven participants.

"Our goal is to build football in Ceres," head coach Brett Johnson said. "Hopefully, the kids had a good experience and want to stay here."

The four-day clinic got underway on Monday and ended on Thursday. Each session lasted two hours (3-5 p.m.). Campers completed warmup drills before receiving group instruction from Ceres High's coaching staff.

Ryan Souza and Cruz Flores worked with offensive linemen.

John Bussard and Brandon Moring provided pointers to running backs and wide receivers, respectively.

More than a dozen Bulldog players also volunteered at the camp, including Hadon Lopez, George Borden, Nick Welsh, Jeremy Cagle, Deshawn Mena, Jacob Williams and Matt Miranda.

"They were so excited to come and help the kids," Johnson said.
