The Ceres Fire 10-and-under recreational softball team won all 10 of its games during the regular season. Games were played at George Costa Ball Field Complex.

The members of the Ceres Fire 10-and-under recreational softball team boarded a party bus and headed for Mountain Mike's Pizza after capping off the regular season with a blowout win over Pink Fusion on Wednesday at the George Costa Ball Field Complex.

"We make deals with the girls if they do really good," assistant coach Brad Oliver said.

Ceres compiled a perfect 10-0 record this year.

The Fire collected victories against the Giants, Pirates, Nationals, All-Stars, Diamond Divas, Lil' Ladies and Pink Fusion.

"It's a big deal," Oliver said. "This doesn't happen all the time, especially with a girls team. We dominated. We practiced hard. I enjoyed seeing the girls have a lot of fun. Everybody got along. No parents complained. There were no issues."

The Fire opened the 2013 season on April 10.

Approximately 12 players suited up for Ceres this year, including Vanessa Oliver, Karissa McDonald, Vianney Perez, Kaitlyn Rife, Angelique Chacon, Madison Rollins, Zoe Wilson, Isabella Reynosa, Badna Bhatti, Macy Waldroup, Ashlyne Hott and Andrea Castrejon.

"We knew we'd have a good team," coach Oliver said. "A lot of the girls play travel ball. We do multiple things at one time at practice. When a girl leaves our teams, she's a better player. We try to teach them everything we can."
