Central Valley High School's varsity wrestling program had multiple placers at the 47th Annual Ceres Invitational on Saturday at Phil de la Porte Gymansium.
Isaiah Gonzales, Adrian Vizcaino, Michael Manzur, Noreena Martinez, Vince Martinez, Frankie Valdez, Eddy Nunez and Joaquin Garcia helped propel the Hawks to a fourth-place finish in the team standings (154.50).
Hughson (186.50) won the title.
Modesto High (169.50), Beyer (158.50), Ceres High (123) and Pacheco (97) placed second, third, fifth and sixth, respectively.
"I'm pretty happy," Central Valley head coach Rob Beckhart said. "We finished ahead of all the other Western Athletic Conference teams. They met my goal."
Gonzales captured the 113-pound crown.
He won all four of his matches.
Isaiah edged Pacheco's Aaron Jaime 5-2 for the title.
Vizcaino (2-0) claimed the 195-pound championship.
Adrian won by pin (1:55) versus Beyer's Michael Miano in the finals.
Manzur (2-1) had to settle for runner-up honors after losing by first-round pin (1:56) to Ceres High's Gabe Balderas
"It was an action-placed match for most of the first round," Beckhart said. "Mike got caught in a bad position and Gabe capitalized."
Noreena (106s, 1-2), Vince (132s, 4-1) and Frankie (152s, 3-2) placed fourth in their respective divisions.
Eddy (170s, 2-2) and Joaquin (182s, 3-2) both finished fifth.
