Ceres High boys unbeaten in WAC at 4-0, girls improve to 3-1 in league

Central Valley varsity boys swimmer Cameron Tucker took fourth in the 100 fly against crosstown-rival Ceres High.

Fueled by its talent and depth, Ceres High's varsity boys swim team faced little resistance in beating crosstown-rival Central Valley 135-32 on Friday.

The first-place Bulldogs improved to 4-0 in the Western Athletic Conference dual-meet standings.

The Hawks dropped to 0-2.

Caleb Bishop, Zachary Jones, Erik Weststeyn, Tristan Freitas-Scott, Tino Amaya, Bobby Baranski, Timothy Campbell, Conner Mills, Spencer Nelson, Logan Kier, Nathan Stone, Noah Rantz and Michael Barnes scored points for Ceres High.

Bishop placed first in the 200 IM and 100 back.

Jones placed first in the 50 free and 100 breast.

Weststeyn placed first in the 100 fly and 500 free.

Freitas-Scott placed first in the 100 free and second in the 200 IM.

Amaya placed second in the 200 free and 100 free.

Baranski placed second in the 50 free and 100 fly.

Campbell placed second in the 100 breast.

Mills placed second in the 500 free.

Nelson placed third in the 200 IM.

Kier placed second in the 100 back and third in the 50 free.

Stone placed third in the 100 fly.

Rantz placed third in the 200 free and fourth in the 100 free and 100 breast.

Barnes placed fourth in the 100 back.

Logan Kenworthy, Cesar Armas, Edgar Cervantes, Cameron Tucker, Austin Doty, David Jimenez, Sergio Lopez, Severo Vazquez, Vince Castaneda and Ryan Miceli represented Central Valley.

Kenworthy placed second in the 100 free.

Armas placed third in the 100 breast and fourth in the 200 free.

Cervantes placed third in the 100 back and fourth in the 50 free.

Tucker placed fourth in the 100 fly.

Doty placed fourth in the 100 free and fifth in the 100 back.

Jimenez placed fourth in the 200 IM and 500 free, and fifth in the 100 breast.

Lopez placed fifth in the 100 free.

Vazquez placed fifth in the 200 free.

Castaneda placed sixth in the 50 free.

Miceli placed sixth in the 100 free.

Bulldog standout Julia Pata placed first in the 200 IM and 100 free against the Hawks (0-2).

Ciana Sather placed first in the 100 fly and 100 back.

Jade Dominguez placed first in the 500 free.

Kiera Brownlee placed first in the 100 breast and second in the 50 free.

Lindsey Reedy placed first in the 200 free and second in the 100 free.

Kaitlyn Foster placed second in the 200 free and 100 fly.

Arianne Amparo placed second in the 500 free.

Taylore Bentley placed second in the 200 IM and third in the 100 breast.

Annie Connors placed second in the 100 back and third in the 50 free.
