Ceres High's and Central Valley's varsity track and field programs competed at the Falcon Spring Classic on April 11 at Atwater High School.

Ceres High's and Central Valley's boys squads finished fifth and seventh, respectively, in the team standings.

Tomas Rocha, Austin Stiles, Tristan Dray, Judas Chavarin, Kevin Moita, Jacob Edwards, Kristofer Benge, Ulises Diaz, Manuel Baez and Raul Cortez represented the Bulldogs, who totaled 76 points.

Rocha placed first in the 800 (2:02.34).

Austin Stiles placed first in the high jump (6-0).

Dray placed second in the 110 hurdles (16.34), third in the high jump (5-8) and fifth in the 300 hurdles (44.07).

Chavarin placed second in the 1,600 (4:41.11) and seventh in the 400 (55.50).

Moita placed fifth in the 200 (23.82) and seventh in the 100 (11.67).

Jacob Edwards places sixth in the long jump (17-11) and triple jump (37-41/4).

Kristofer Benge placed eighth in the triple jump (34-2).

Ulises Diaz placed 10th in the 200 (24.48).

Manuel Baez placed 11th in the 800 (2:12.85) and 1,600 (5:09.57).

Ceres High's 4x400 relay team of Rocha, Moita, Dray and Chavarin placed first (3:36.15).

Ceres High's 4x100 relay team of Benge, Cortez, Moita and Diaz placed fourth (46.56).

Kendel Johnson, Ja'Quan Gardner, Ben Saldana, Kenneth Padilla, Jose Uribe, Alex Vazquez, Jordan Sek, Allen Keefe, Daniel Lepe, Angelo Bermudez, Ozzie Ramos, Inayat Sahota and Joaquin Garcia represented the Hawks (68 points).

Johnson placed fourth in the 100 (11.57).

Gardner placed first in the 100 (11.14) and 11th in the 200 (24.53).

Saldana placed second in the 3,200 (10:34.22) and sixth in the 1,600 (4:57.63).

Padilla placed second in the pole vault (12-0) and ninth in the high jump (5-0).

Uribe placed third in the discus (138-1) and seventh in the shot put (43-2).

Vazquez placed fourth in the 100 (11.57).

Sek placed fourth in the high jump (5-8).

Keefe placed fifth in the high jump (5-2) and 10th in the long jump (16-9).

Lepe placed seventh in the 300 hurdles (45.91).

Bermudez placed 11th in the 100 (11.99) and 22nd in the 200 (26.12).

Ramos placed 12th in the 400 (57.89) and 13th in the 800 (2:15.30).

Central Valley's 4x100 relay team of Bermudez, Gardner, Vazquez and Johnson placed first (44.49).

Central Valley's 1200-400-800-1600 distance medley relay team of Ramos, Sahota, Saldana and Garcia placed fourth (12:04.24).

Ceres High's and Central Valley's girls squads took seventh and eighth, respectively.

Gykisha Smith, Azia Brewster, Sydney Elness, Yarisleidi Rodriguez, Yasmine Cordova, Lisette Carretero Kendall Meyer, Claudia Jimenez, Mallynda Benjamin, Kyle Bassard, Nichole Parker, Ashlee Stiles, Claudia Ruiz and Saray Gonzalez represented the Bulldogs (56 points).

Smith placed first in the 100 hurdles (16.93).

Brewster placed first in the high jump (4-10), fourth in the 100 hurdles (18.57) and 17th in the 100 (14.08).

Elness placed second in the triple jump (30-7), eighth in the high jump (4-4) and 27th in the long jump (11-71/4).

Rodriguez placed fourth in the shot put (32-1) and 31st in the discus (59-4).

Cordova placed sixth in the 400 (67.71).

Carretero placed seventh in the 800 (2:42.69) and 1,600 (6:06.64).

Meyer placed seventh in the high jump (4-6) and 17th in the long jump (12-111/2).

Jimenez placed eighth in the 400 (68.63).

Parker placed ninth in the shot put (27-51/2).

Stiles placed 13th in the high jump (4-0) and 14th in the 800 (2:49.33).

Ruiz placed 14th in the 3,200 (17:22.88) and 22nd in the 1,600 (7:45.40).

Benjamin placed 18th in the 200 (29.66).

Gonzalez placed 19th in the discus (68-1).

Ceres High's 4x100 relay team of Jimenez, Benjamin, Bassard and Brewster placed sixth (54.60).

Heaven Simon, Sherlyn Hernandez, Kristie Del Valle, Else Smith and Emerald Gutierrez represented the Hawks (31 points).

Simon placed first in the 400 (63.01) and 300 hurdles (48.99).

Hernandez placed third in the 200 (27.71) and ninth in the 100 (13.58).

Del Valle placed 12th in the triple jump (28-21/2).
Smith placed 36th in the discus (54-10).

Central Valley's 4x100 relay team of Hernandez, Simon, Del Valle and Gutierrez placed fourth (52.25).
