Ceres High's junior-varsity girls basketball team struggled mightily in losing 37-21 to Central Valley in Western Athletic Conference play on Jan. 23.
The Bulldogs won the crosstown rematch, 34-24, on Feb. 8 at Phil de la Porte Gymnasium.
Isabel Vizcaino made three treys on her way to totaling a team-high 11 points for Ceres High.
Lysaida Munoz, Cheralyn Durossette and Allison Stiles finished with eight, five and four points, respectively.
Bryana Falepouno and Dianna Jasso contributed three points apiece.
Makayla Bailey and Norma Vera both collected a team-high 11 points for Central Valley.
Andrea Cortes had two points.
Ceres High trailed 10-9 at the end of the first quarter.
The Bulldogs outscored the Hawks 25-14 the rest of the game.
Central Valley mustered just two points in the momentum-swaying second quarter.
