Central Valley's varsity girls and boys soccer programs remained atop the Western Athletic Conference standings this past week after securing wins against Los Banos on Thursday.

Central Valley's girls team improved to 16-1-2 overall and 7-1-0 in the WAC standings after shutting out the Tigers 14-0 on the road.

Jocelyn Lopez and Abigail Martinez both scored a game-high four goals.

Jackie Sanchez added two goals.

Mariana Garibay, Tanya Mendoza, Sarah Silva and Daniela Yepez chipped in with one goal apiece.

Central Valley's boys team improved to 10-3-6 on the year and 5-1-2 in conference play following its 4-2 victory over Los Banos.

Gerardo Flores led the way with one goal and one assist.

Angel Arellano, Isaac Juarez and Agustin Gutierrez all contributed one goal.

Gilberto Flores and Victor Torres each had one assist.

Goalkeeper Erick Martinez made three saves.

Central Valley will close out the WAC season with games against host Pacheco and Patterson this week.
