Central Valley High School's varsity boys soccer team set a program record for goals scored in a single game while shutting out host Los Banos 19-0 on Thursday.

The Hawks defeated the Tigers 15-1 in Ceres on Sept. 17.

"The league isn't as competitive as last year," Central Valley head coach Omar Leon said.

The Hawks improved to 19-1-0 on the year and 7-0 in the Western Athletic Conference.

Central Valley, ranked No. 7 in the nation and No. 2 in the state by MaxPreps.com, won its 13th straight game.

Los Banos dropped to 0-7 in the WAC standings.

"This might not happen again," Leon said while talking about his team's run of dominance. "We have to enjoy it while it lasts. Everybody at the school is happy. The kids are hungry. They show that every game. I still think we can get better."

Omar Orozco scored a career-high seven goals and dished out two assists against Los Banos.

Ozzie Ramos collected four goals and six assists.

Juan Medrano tallied three goals.

Jose Martin chipped in with two goals.

Alfredo Bravo contributed two goals.

Zachary Adams had one goal and one assist.

Jairo Ramos and Jorge Bustos both had two assists.

Alexis Galindo, Daniel Hernandez and Adrian Calvo all had one assist.

Alex Vazquez made two saves and David Saucedo added one while splitting time at goalkeeper.

Central Valley changed its game plan after building a 12-0 lead in the opening half. "I told the kids to touch the ball three times before attacking," Leon said. "We just kept scoring. There probably should be a limit. I even suggested to the referees to end the game sooner. I do feel bad."
