The Ceres Dolphins recreational swim team produced desired results this past weekend in Tracy.

Ceres placed second at a MVSL tri meet on Saturday at West High School.

"Our expectation was to compete and win," Dolphins President John Silveria said. "We challenged the kids. They stepped up and performed well. It was impressive."

Ceres totaled 989 points.

The Turlock Seadogs (1,162) and Tracy Tritons (932) took first and third, respectively.

"We were 173 points out of first place," Silveria said. "Overall, I'm satisfied with second place. We had a lot of kids improve their times."
