Central Valley High School's varsity boys swim team sustained a 128-39 loss while hosting Livingston on Friday.

The Hawks posted an 0-6 record on their way to a last-place finish in the Western Athletic Conference dual-meet standings.

"It's hard to compete against teams stacked with numbers," Central Valley head coach Sarah Willems said. "The individual victories are always nice."

Cameron Tucker finished second in the 100 free and third in the 200 IM.

Edgar Cervantes finished second in the 100 back and third in the 50 free.

Cesar Armas finished fourth in the 200 free and 100 breast.

Sergio Jimenez finished fourth in the 100 fly.

David Jimenez finished fourth in the 500 free and fifth in the 100 breast.

Josue Lopez finished fourth in the 50 free and sixth in the 100 free.

Vince Castaneda finished fifth in the 200 IM and 100 back.

Sev Vazquez finished fifth in the 200 free.

Christian Oliver finished fifth in the 100 free and sixth in the 50 free.

CV girls lose
Striving for its first victory, Central Valley's girls swim squad fell behind early and never recovered in losing 135-22 to the Wolves.

The Hawks finished 0-6 in the WAC dual-meet standings.

"Overall, everybody improved their times," Willems said. "That's important."

Lisa Serna finished second in the 100 back and fourth in the 100 fly.

Vanesa Hernandez finished fourth in the 50 free.

Olivia Azpeitia finished fourth in the 100 free.

Brenda Romo finished fourth in the 200 free.

Nina Kees finished fourth in the 100 breast.

Leticia Sandoval finished fifth in the 50 free.

Jenely Rubalcava finished fifth in the 100 free.

Brianna Garcia finished sixth in the 50 free.

Mia Benjamin finished sixth in the 100 free.

The WAC Championships will be staged at Pacheco this Friday in Los Banos.
