Central Valley's varsity boys wrestling program accomplished its goal while tussling at Ceres High's four-team dual meet on Dec. 12 at Phil de la Porte Gymnasium.
Winning was secondary.

"I wasn't really keeping track of the team scores," Hawks head coach Rob Beckhart said. "We don't have a set lineup in place. Guys are getting experience. We're still making mistakes."

Central Valley posted a 48-27 victory over Grace Davis.

Nathan Curry won by pin (1:46) against Dustin Hyatt at 160 pounds.

Kyle Hendrix won by pin (1:50) against Luis Perez at 132 pounds.

Anthony Voss won by pin (2:42) against Damon Looper at 120 pounds.

Tyler Peoples won by pin (4:57) against Victor Ceja at 285 pounds.

Tyler Beckhart won by pin (5:09) against Jordan Bejsovich at 220 pounds.

Michael Duran, Anibal Duran and Juan Lezama won by forfeit at 126, 145 and 195 pounds, respectively.

Roman Ramirez lost by decision (8-5) to Francisco Mercado at 152 pounds.

Ryan Palecek lost by pin (2:23) to Darren Berbara at 170 pounds.

Thomas Carrillo lost by pin (1:23) to Antonio Ramirez at 182 pounds.

Prabhjot Singh lost by pin (1:13) to Julian Galvan at 138 pounds.

Jesse Vazquez lost by pin (0:16) to John Valdez at 106 pounds.

Turlock cruised to a 59-3 win over Central Valley.

Beckhart accounted for the Hawks' lone individual victory.
