Ceres High’s junior-varsity football team had its four-game winning streak snapped by Patterson last week.

The Bulldogs lost 21-14 to the Tigers on Friday in Ceres.

Ceres High dropped to 5-2 on the year and 1-1 in the Western Athletic Conference standings.

The Tigers improved to 4-3 and 1-1.

Ceres High freshman quarterback Dalton Durossette totaled a career-high 217 yards with one touchdown and one interception while completing 18 of 34 pass attempts.

He also rushed for 45 yards on six carries.

Andrew Alcala added 22 yards and one TD on nine carries.

He also hauled in five passes for 40 yards.

Mateo Scalise caught two passes for 14 yards and one touchdown.

Felipe Martinez totaled 25 yards on nine carries.

Dale Sizemore amassed a career-high 105 yards on five receptions.

Brock DeWitt finished with 26 yards on three catches.

DeWitt forced one fumble on defense.

Scalise intercepted one pass.

Argel Arroyo and John Sagapolu both recovered one fumble.

Ceres High fell behind 21-7 in the opening half.

The Bulldogs outscored the Tigers 7-0 the rest of the game.
