Ceres High's and Central Valley's varsity softball teams posted a combined record of 3-5 at the Nor-Cal Classic last week in Tracy.

The Bulldogs went 1-3 while competing in the Platinum Bracket of the 56-team tournament.

Ceres High's lone victory came against Tracy.

Freshman pitcher Kaycee Creek tallied two strikeouts and allowed just four hits during Thursday's 3-0 win.

Creek also accounted for one of the Bulldogs' seven hits on offense.

Mika Johnson had two singles, one run and three stolen bases.

Younger sister Jode Johnson doubled, scored and knocked in a run.

Taiylor Sakurada collected two singles and one RBI.

Shaye Farriester scored once and singled.

Ceres High lost 5-1 to Grace Davis in first-round action on Thursday. The Bulldogs fell 5-0 to East Union and 7-4 to Lodi on Saturday.

Central Valley finished 2-2 in the Silver Bracket as it collected wins against Dos Palos (8-0) and Downey (6-5). The Hawks were beaten by Los Banos (6-1) and LeGrand (7-0).
