To celebrate the centennial of Ceres High School, a big celebration will be held this weekend.

The first classes were held in what was the Artisan Hall, or Grange Hall, located in Whitmore Park, built in 1880 in then Triangle Park. The building was located at the south end of the park which was later taken up by El Camino Road. In 1910, classes were moved to the two-story elementary school building at the north end of Whitmore Park, close to where the concrete performing slab is today.

Anyone who brings their CHS yearbook, and old ID card to prove a CHS alumnist can get into the game for $1. Special seating will be available in the west end zone for classes from the 1930s, 1940s, 1950s. An end zone party will be held under the trees by the concession stand for alumnists to meet up with classmates.
