Aggressive panhandler arrested at McDonald's

A man who was at the point of spitting at those who didn't give him money, an allegedly aggressive panhandler was arrested outside of the Hatch Road McDonald's on Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 10.

Police were called at 2:55 p.m. to the fast food restaurant and located transient Peter Boven, 52. He was searched and found with methamphetamine on him. He also had warrants for his arrest.

"We've had prior contacts with this guy and he's very aggressive by nature," said Ceres Police Department spokesman Sgt. Keith Griebel.

Boven was arrested and charged with aggressive panhandling and possession of methamphetamine.
