A 45-year-old Ceres woman was taken into custody on Sunday afternoon because she was wanted to stand charges for a prior burglary.

At approximately 2:26 p.m., Ceres Police Officer Christian Diaz was at the Casa Grande Apartments at 3100 Whitmore Avenue when he spotted Stephanie Aleo walking in the apartment complex. Familiar with Aleo and her outstanding felony arrest related to burglary, Officer Diaz placed her under arrest and booked her into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
