Ceres Library offers activities

The Ceres Library will host free crafts and activities for children, and a book club program for adults this month.

"Wee Move and Play" will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesdays and at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesdays, Nov. 9 and 23. This program features unstructured playtime for toddlers and preschoolers, during which they can enjoy movement and sensory play.

Children are invited to "STEAM* Activity: Explore Magnets" on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 3:30 p.m. (*STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). Participants will learn what magnetism is, and what causes magnetic attraction. This program is designed for children ages 5 to 10.

The Book Club will meet at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16. Each participant is invited to bring a book to discuss with the group.

The library will host an edible fall craft at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17. Children may make edible scarecrows out of sweet treats, including cookies, frosting, and candy.
