It’s still some time away but the Ceres Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for the third annual River Classic tee off to be held on Friday, Sept. 25.

A website has been set up for signups.

The event will take place at River Oaks Golf Course, 3441 Golf Links Road, Ceres, with check-in at 7 a.m. and tee off at 8:30 a.m.

Contests include the four-person scramble, ball drop, putting contest, men/women long drive and closest to the hole.

Cost is $500 for a four-player team or $250 for a two-player team. Breakfast, lunch and beverages are provided. Raffle ticket will be sold for prizes as well as a silent auction held.

All proceeds will be distributed to non-profit organizations in Ceres.

“The whole point of our golf tournament is to give back into our community, to give back to our nonprofits,” said Ceres Chamber of Commerce President Brandy Meyer.

The Chamber is soliciting for title sponsorship at $3,000, pillar Sponsorship ($1,500), and hole sponsorship at $500.
