The Ceres Chamber of Commerce held a June 17 ribbon cutting ceremony at the new offices of Joaquin Painting in a southwest Ceres industrial park and those attending were impressed with the new facility.

About the business: Joaquin Painting was founded in 1979 by Randy Butler in his garage as the “shop.”
Randy’s father was a journeyman painter for many years, and taught many of his children trade at a very early age. Randy worked as painter for several years but had the desire to open his own business and to provide for his growing family. Within a couple of years Joaquin Painting expanded and the company moved to a small warehouse in north Modesto.
Mark Butler joined his father full time in 1998. Joaquin Painting then began to outgrow the small warehouse, and they relocated to a facility on Carver Road in Modesto.
