Crash victim succumbs

A Ceres woman who was injured in a June 24 crash at Ustick and Service roads in South Modesto died two days later.

Accident victim Liliana Lira, 22, died June 26, confirmed the Stanislaus County Coroner's office. She was one of four occupants of vehicles that crashed at the rural location.

Lira was in a Toyota Camry traveling southbound on Ustick Road that violated the right of way for an eastbound 7Up delivery vehicle. The big rig flipped on its side but its driver was not hurt.

The Toyota sustained major damage.
