A missing 12-year-old Ceres boy was found unharmed after he wandered away from his Walnut Avenue home early Friday and turned up shivering cold in a Hughson orchard.

The family of Kodi Bledsoe called 911 at 1 a.m. to report that the boy walked out of the house after he became upset after being told he could not play video games, said Ceres Police Lt. Chris Perry. The autistic boy has had a history of walking away from his home, he added. The family went looking for him but he was out of sight.

"We searched basically all night for this kid and were unable to locate him until day shift came in," said Ceres Police Department spokesman Lt. Chris Perry.

The Ceres Police Department activated a reverse call system alerting certain neighborhood in Ceres to look out for the boy and posted an item in social media. CUSD schools were alerted as well.

The boy was found at around 6 a.m. by a rancher at 10560 Whitmore Avenue near Hughson walking on his property. Bledsoe was cold but unhurt and was returned to his parents.
