A funeral service was held Friday at Lakewood Funeral Home for Acie L. Hance, 93, of Hughson. He died Monday, Sept. 26, 2005 in Ceres.
Born April 7, 1912, Mr. Hance was a native of Casa, Ark., and lived in Hughson for 65 years. He was a butcher for 30 years. Mr. Hance was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and the Ceres Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
He leaves behind three daughters, Helen Taylor and Shirley Lassiter, both of Hughson, and Patricia Klatt of Grants Pass, Ore.; his brother, Loyd Hance of Bakersfield; and seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ratha Hance.
