A Mass was held Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Angelica Maria Sanchez Torres, 26, of Modesto. She died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004 at her home.

Burial was at Turlock Memorial Park under the direction of Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Chapel.

Born Oct. 27, 1977, Mrs. Torres was a native of Jalostotitlan, Jalisco, Mexico, and lived in Modesto for 23 years. She was an insurance clerk for Western Dental for five years. Mrs. Torres was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Ceres. She enjoyed dancing, music and shopping.

She leaves behind her husband, Juan Manuel Torres of Modesto; two children, Jaslyn Liliana Torres and Maritza Lizbeth Torres, both of Modesto; her parents, Juan Manuel and Maria Sanchez of Corpus Christi, Texas; five brothers, Juan Carlos Sanchez, Fernando Sanchez, Gustabo Sanchez, Juan Manuel Sanchez Jr. and Eduardo Sanchez, all of Corpus Christi, Texas; three sisters, Maria De Los Angeles Parra of Sacramento, and Bertha Alicia Sanchez and Lorena Del Karmen Sanchez, both of Corpus Christi; and her grandparents, Feliciano Sanchez of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Enedina Padillo of Jalostotitlan, Jalisco, Mexico.
