A funeral was held Friday at the Church of Christ in Hughson with a graveside at Lakewood Memorial Park for Barbara Jean "Bobbie" Hunter, 70. She died peacefully on April 29, 2012 after a lengthy battle against emphysema and leukemia.
Allen Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
Born May 2, 1941 in Bakersfield to Andrew Jackson Hunter and Lucy Logsdon Hunter, Bobbie was employed as a bookkeeper by Varni Brothers Corporation for over 50 years. She enjoyed reading,and was an active member of the Church of Christ in Hughson.
She leaves behind her son, Khrystopher Hunter; her mother, Lucy Hunter; her sister, Louise House; and her brother, Doug Hunter. She was preceded in death by her father.
