A funeral was held Saturday, March 6 at Allen Mortuary in Turlock for Beyant Singh, 96, of Modesto. He died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2004 at his home.
Cremation was handled by Allen Mortuary.
Born Jan. 10, 1908, Mr. Singh was a native of Ghuman village, Jullundur District, India. He had lived in Modesto since 1987 and previously lived in Fiji for 58 years. Mr. Singh was a self- employed farmer. He was a member of the Hughson Sikh Temple.
He leaves behind four children, Mejar S. Ghuman of Canada, Gurdev K. Chak of Fiji, Ranjit Singh of Modesto and Gurnek S. Ghuman of Keyes; and 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
