A memorial service was held on Saturday at the Assembly Of God Church in Hughson for Claude G. Jaco, 76, of Ceres. He died Dec. 22, 2011 at his home surrounded by family members.

Born Oct. 9, 1935, Claude's love for Christ led him into ministry at a young age and he was often referred to as the "preacher man." He had a servant's heart and was a mighty prayer warrior. Claude met and married the love of his life, Ethel Jaco and together they raised three daughters in their 51 years of marriage.

He leaves behind his wife, Ethel Jaco of Ceres; three daughters, Cheryl Jaco, Brenda Peters, and Melissa Norton-Silva; his brother Carl Jaco; two sisters, Kay McKennon and Vera Davis; and one granddaughter, five grandsons, two great-grandsons, one great-granddaughter.
